Abstract: Data federation challenges in the A&H research sector are largely tractable problems of coordination at scale. Through design approaches built on validated requirements from data providers and the researcher community we place the challenge of skills and training on an equal footing with the infrastructure challenges. A proof-of-concept application offers an exploratory sandbox for how to connect data services to computing power and provide enrichment pipelines in shareable workflows.
